About UBAAA
In the beginning
In the fall of 2023, a group of University of Benin alumni in the United States came together with a shared vision of creating an inclusive and supportive alumni association. They established the University of Benin Alumni Association in America (UBAAA) to connect alumni, foster professional and personal growth, and give back to their alma mater.
Through extensive outreach and collaboration, these founders laid the groundwork for an organization built on the principles of fairness, equality, mutual respect, and service. By December 2023, a Caretaker Committee was formed to lead the association's development, culminating in the official registration of UBAAA and the election of its first executive officers in March 2024.After conducting extensive outreach and opinion polls among UNIBEN alumni, the founding members inaugurated a Caretaker Committee in December 2023. This committee, comprised of nine dedicated individuals, was tasked with setting up the new alumni association, organizing Emergency General Assemblies (EGA), and conducting the association's first general elections.
Today, UBAAA is a vibrant community dedicated to empowering alumni and making a positive impact. Join us and become part of our journey to support each other and the University of Benin.
